Want this for your organisation?

For families & carers

You want to know how it is going. We will tell you.

When your father, mother or partner spends the day with us, you hear how it went after every visit. In plain words, with the small things that matter.

And you? You are not on your own. There is a place at our table for carers too.

Three older people sit laughing at a table with a glass of water.

Staying informed

How we keep you informed

You choose how: through the family app on your phone, or on paper in the bag.

  • The diary

After every day, a short note from the support worker: what did your loved one do, how was it?

  • Photos, with permission

A photo of the apple pie or the goats. Only if you and your loved one are happy with that.

  • A review every six months

Together with the coordinator we look at how things are going and what could change.

  • Just give us a call

    On weekdays from 8.30 to 16.30 on 0123 45 67 20.

Example

A week from Corrie’s diary

Corrie (an invented guest) comes on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays. Her daughter Ellen reads along every evening.

Corrie’s diary

MondayGarden & orchardCooking & baking

Corrie arrived at half past nine, wearing her red scarf. In the orchard we picked the last of the russet apples. Corrie still knew exactly how to twist an apple so the stalk stays on. At lunch she sat next to Truus. They talked about the market in the old days and laughed a lot.

Best wishes, Samira

WednesdayCooking & bakingGames & company

Baking day! Corrie peeled the apples for two apple pies. She told us she used to bake a cake every year for her husband’s birthday. By three o’clock it was all gone. After lunch she had a rest in the chair by the stove, and then she joined in with the quiz.

Best wishes, Joost

FridayCrafts & workshopMusic & singing

Today we set up the farm stall by the road. Corrie wrote the price signs in her lovely handwriting. At Friday drinks she sang every verse. A request for home: Corrie would like to bring her old recipe book next week. Could you help her remember? Have a lovely weekend!

Best wishes, Anouk

For carers

You deserve a breather too

Caring for someone you love is rewarding, and sometimes hard. We are here to help you think it through.

  • Carers’ café

Meet other carers and share experiences, sometimes with a guest speaker. Coffee and apple pie are ready.

First Thursday of every month, 19.30

  • Drop-in hour

Drop in to see Marloes, our coordinator. About day care, or about how you are doing.

    Every Friday, 13.30 – 14.30

  • A day for yourself

Going on holiday, or need to be away for a bit? If there is room, your loved one can come for an extra day.

On request, when there is room

Respite: how we arrange it

  • Ask the coordinator at least two weeks in advance.
  • Together we check which days are free, including transport.
  • Fully booked? Then we help you look for other support in Vlietstad.
“On Mondays and Wednesdays I know my husband is having a good day. That means I can go to my own choir again.”
Anja, Gerrit’s partner
