Complaints & privacy

Not happy? Tell us.

We do our best, but we can do better. Here is how to make a complaint and what we do with your data.

Complaints procedure

Three steps, under the Wkkgz

The Dutch Healthcare Quality, Complaints and Disputes Act (Wkkgz) governs how care providers handle complaints. You get a written response within six weeks.

  1. 1
    Talk to us

Tell your dentist, hygienist or reception. Most concerns are resolved together in one conversation.

  2. 2
    Complaints officer

If that does not work, or you prefer not to? An independent complaints officer helps you free of charge and looks for a solution with you and the practice. Email klachten@tandartsenvlietbrug.nl (fictional).

  3. 3
    Disputes committee

If you cannot resolve it together, you can go to a recognised disputes committee. Every care provider must be affiliated with one; for dentists this is often the Geschilleninstantie Mondzorg. It makes a binding decision.

Your record

Under Dutch law (WGBO) we keep your dental record for twenty years in principle. You may always view it, have it corrected or ask for a copy. Only those who treat you can access it.

Questions about privacy? Email balie@tandartsenvlietbrug.nl (fictional).

What this website stores

The registration status, estimate explainer and emergency guide ask for no name, date of birth or medical details: only a four-digit postcode area, age groups or codes. In this example everything stays in your own browser. No advertising cookies.

AI on this website

Only the question assistant can use a language model. It always says so, with an AI label, as the EU AI Act (Article 50) requires. It answers only from our own texts, shows the source and gives no medical advice. Personal data is blocked before sending.

The estimate explainer, registration status and emergency guide use fixed rules, not AI.
